Rep. Paul and William Johnson
Born on June 1, 1980 in Dallas Texas and raised in Dubuque Iowa. William is an active member in the Republican Party and has been active since voting age. He was raised with an Iowan’s work ethic; at the age of nine he began his first job as a paperboy for the Telegraph Herald.

Throughout junior high and high school William continued employment at various Dubuque establishments such as Burger King, Hardees and corn detasseling at Pioneer. At the same time, he competed in wrestling, track and choir at both Washington Jr. high and Senior high school. The combination of this demanding schedule between work, academics, and sports taught William the value of time-management skills. He is also an avid Tae Kwon Do practitioner and musician.

In 2001, William joined the Navy and served as a CTI (Hebrew linguist) until 2005. While in the Navy he attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey California. William then began attending Loras Catholic College in 2006 as an International Studies major. In February 16, 2008 William left for China to study spoken and written Chinese. In May of 2009 he returned after successfully completing his studies.
